METRONET is the State Government’s long-term public transport plan to connect our suburbs and reduce road congestion. The project will see transport investment as a vehicle for positive land-use planning, changing the face of Perth’s public transport network, promoting economic growth and creating job opportunities.

The PTA has a number of key roles available on a fixed term basis over the life of the various METRONET projects. We are looking for experienced and qualified individuals to be placed in a pool. Subject to suitability, offers of appointment may be made over a 12 month period at a salary that is commensurate with the candidate’s skills and abilities.

Positions will be offered on a fixed term contract basis for 3 years in the first instance with possible extensions. In addition, candidates may move between projects as required and gain invaluable career growth and development opportunities.

The PTA is looking for talented Engineers with considerable experience to manage the design, construction, and delivery of our public transport network.

The Roles

The PTA is currently seeking applications from Engineers from a range of backgrounds including civil, track, structures, electrical and railway systems with different levels of experience and seniority ranging from Levels 5 to 8. The PTA has positions in the above areas of competence for:

  • Project Engineers
  • Senior Engineers
  • Principal Project Engineers; and
  • Project Engineering Managers.

What’s Required

To be eligible for these positions applicants must possess extensive experience in engineering on large scale infrastructure projects. A relevant tertiary qualification is required for these positions.

Experience that relates to transport projects, preferably in rail, will be highly regarded.
