The Operations team partners closely with ResMed’s five business leaders to understand their needs then providing a variety of products and services to help them meet those needs including Customer and Technical Services, Global Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, manufacturing, logistics and distribution. Focused on enabling new product introduction and operating excellence, our team strives to improve time to market for new products and services, improve efficiencies in our cross-functional processes, and improve our supply chain through digitization and automation to increase value add to our customers.

Key Deliverables Include But Are Not Limited To The Following
The role’s primary objective is to apply advance skills and knowledge of Injection Mould Tool Design and manufacturing engineering discipline to develop and implement manufacturing processes, equipment, facilities and documents, in order to meet the current and future production volume, quality, OHS and cost requirements.
- Conduct Design for manufacture analysis, prototyping and verification activities to determine the feasibility/suitability of a design
- Assists in the development, execution, and testing of new and existing products
- Apply Computer Aided Design (CAD) software engineering methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems to deliver mould & tooling design projects
- Produce concepts, designs, drawings, models and files to deliver such Tooling projects in a timely and cost efficient manner
- Act as technical resource to the business to deliver continuous improvements in design productivity, reduced design costs, and improved design quality and customer satisfaction.

- Network with contacts outside own area of expertise.
- Lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team
- Work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
- Lead sub-functional teams or projects and train and mentor junior team members
- Serve as a best practice resource within own area of work.
To be successful in this position, you will have the following qualifications and experience.
- A degree or trade qualification in Engineering, Tooling, Injection Moulding or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.
- At least 8 years’ experience in design and tool making
- Experience in 3D CAD modelling, designing components for plastic moulding, prototyping and assembly
- Creative design skills with the ability to ideate different designs to address technical/customer issues
- Strong technical skills to deliver innovative designs. Has the ability to define, analyse, build and test requirements
- Ability to influence others to achieve business objectives
- Excellent communication skills
- Good knowledge of the fundamental principles of design
