We are a service, support, and maintenance business and maintain various specialized port types and other machines, from reach stackers to (MHC’s) Mobile Harbour Cranes all over Australia and beyond.

An opportunity exists in our team for a highly experienced and specialist MHC Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our Team.

In this role, your key duties will include but are not limited to:
Assist with assembling and installing new and modified MHC assemblies and components as required.
Complete electrical & mechanical fault finding and diagnosis of MHC's
Recommend and assist with the preparation of tooling and equipment for projects as required.
Assist with quoting work that will involve estimating quantities and materials to complete MHC projects.
Ensure that finished works are within specification when MHC's have been commissioned or as part of an annual inspection.
Assist through supervision, maintenance, and inspections of Mobile Harbour Cranes as required.
Be able to read, analyze, and modify MHC software, and if modifications are made record these changes.
Be able to do interstate and international call-outs
Be available for a flexible and customer-focused on-call roster.
Able to work away for long extended periods of time, greater than two months.
Be able to work in a team environment for the installation, commissioning, mobilizing, and support the transporting of large equipment (+100ton)

Have a positive and demonstrable attitude towards Safety.
Are reliable, have a neat presentation, pay attention to detail, and can work with minimal supervision.
Are highly motivated and able to work under demanding conditions.
Have formal training and verifiable experience with the Konecranes Gottwald MHC product.
Able to work with Siemens S5 and S7 systems and the diagnosis of.
Able to do hydraulic system fault diagnosis and support work.
Able to work and support large mechanical type repairs.
Comfortable working at heights for sustained periods (40m+)
Have a valid driver’s license.

Required Qualifications:
Diploma of Engineering (AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma. ANZSCO Skill Level 2 - Unit Group 312512) or similar. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above. Relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to this qualification.
Konecranes Gottwald - Mobile Harbour Crane-specific Technical Training.
White Card - Construction Induction.
EWP > 11 metres and Forklift.
Hi-Risk Work licenses.
First Aid Training.
