The Company

Our client is a well-established multi-national organisation who are well on their way to becoming a leader within the electronics manufacturing field. Currently enjoying a period of continued growth, they are seeking to appoint an experienced Mechatronics or Electronics Engineer with mechanical design skills to their team. This company is world recognised, with offices located in Australia, United Kingdom and USA.

The Position

A newly created position, reporting to the Engineering Manager your role will be to carry out the design, fault-finding and prototyping of new electronic products while providing engineering & design support across electronic hardware, software, and mechanical components.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for design, fault-finding and prototyping and maintaining capability of current manufactured products
  • Responsible for building prototype designs of new products including fault-finding
  • Provide engineering support for existing products
  • Electronic Hardware design, documentation, debugging and testing
  • Software development, documentation, debugging and testing
  • Electronic hardware rework and repair
  • Validation and acceptance test procedure design and documentation

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this role you will be a degree qualified Mechatronics or Electronics or Software Engineer who is also able to bring some CAD (SolidWorks) design experience. Other prerequisites are as follows.

  • Experience with modern electronics design, development, prototyping and testing
  • Programming experience with knowledge of C++, C and LUA (not mandatory)
  • In-depth knowledge of electronic hardware and software development and system integration
  • Analytical - can synthesise complex or diverse information, research data and can use intuition and experience to complement data
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks CAD design and development of mechanical components
  • Sound problem solving skills, solutions focused with well-developed clear communications
