The Opportunity:

An opportunity for a mechanically minded Day Shift Electrician to join our Cemintel team based at Wetherill Park. You will work in a team involved in electrical maintenance, continuous improvement, quality and safety projects onsite during your rostered shifts

 Reporting to the Engineering Manager and Electrical Supervisor, the role will be responsible for;

• Actively participating in scheduled maintenance activities including preventative maintenance
• Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults in plant equipment
• Contributing towards site continuous improvement activities
• Ensuring the plant operates 24 hours a day
• Work effectively in a cross-functional team.
• Be involved in improvement projects including Safety and upgrades of existing and new equipment.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Electrical Trade license
• PLC fault diagnosis, their programming environments, and their troubleshooting
• Ability to work under pressure to troubleshoot plant equipment & their control systems
• Strong safety focus, involvement in risk assessments
• Previous experience in a similar role within a heavy industry manufacturing/production environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders
• Excellent problem solving and root cause analysis skills
• Ability to work a rotating shift roster. As required to cover when necessary
