Digital and Campus Services provides a responsive, integrated and customer-orientated service that brings together the digital and physical environments for students and staff, supporting their teaching, learning, research and administrative needs.

The role
Reporting to the Director & CIO of Digital and Campus Services this role is responsible for strategic and operational built form services, and ensures the service delivery of all major and minor capitalised building works, minor non capitalised building works, maintenance works and strategic University built form planning contracts that support ECU’s core activities.

The successful candidate will have:
Significant (10 years +) demonstratable and relevant experience in both the delivery of major building projects and an understanding of the construction industry legislative framework, planning approval processes and building contracts and developing programme plans, managing relevant resources and reviewing progress to ensure the delivery of agreed project outcomes

Extensive knowledge of major and minor works, delivery space planning and benchmarking, contemporary facilities management issues, strategic asset management and major project procurement strategies financial management, budgeting, forecast cash flows and reporting

Ability to juggle numerous high visibility projects in a fast-paced environment working to tight timelines, as well as an ability to work well under pressure and work collaboratively

Ability to negotiate with and influence internal and external stakeholders across the university to effect positive improvements

Demonstrated experience leading a team, as an effective leader with tenacity and drive who is looking to achieve outstanding results and most importantly, be someone that enjoys sharing knowledge, supporting ideas, and encouraging others to develop their skills and experience.
