Builders Segment Manager - Victoria - M&I

Part of the CSR family, our Masonry and Insulation Business Unit comprises of Bradford Insulation, PGH Bricks and Monier Roofing. We manufacture and market a full range of products for residential and commercial applications including a large range of products and systems.

The Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity to join our Victorian Residential sales team focusing on builders in our newly formed business unit Masonry & Insulation.

You will be responsible for sales performance in our builders segment through preparation & implementation of strategic & tactical plans to deliver agreed objectives. You will be required to lead and manage 4 direct reports.

M&I has a large supply and install offering covering energy, insulation and tiles. This has over 300 contractors and a significant customer and installation support team. We deal direct with the largest builders in Victoria!

Role Accountabilities

  • Analyse market opportunity & business performance with financial data & reporting systems
  • Facilitate team’s development of budgets & strategies for execution over future periods
  • Provide leadership to team to ensure objectives are understood & achieved
  • Execute sales & marketing plans across multi-residential builder segment aligned to strategy
  • Monitor & report on sales performance against targets for current period
  • Monitor customer & market activity and feedback via CRM
  • Develop & implement actions to deliver agreed goals & rectify divergence to plan
  • Monitor & mentor Account Managers to develop relationships with clients
  • Ensure customer account plans & call cycles are implemented & actioned by team
  • Ensure appropriate debtor management & performance by team
  • Facilitate regular meetings with sales team to ensure members remain on track
  • Manage relationships and expectations with a broad client base
  • Resolve issues & complaints with clients
  • Drive constructive culture across region & state
  • Identify & execute opportunities for new customers & product growth with existing customers
  • Develop skills & experiences of team members to nurture future leaders

Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Qualifications

  • Formal qualification in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field
  • Proficient with CRM software Office applications (intermediate excel)
  • Demonstrated success in a senior sales management position
  • High energy with a will to succeed
  • Familiarity with sales performance metrics
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a focus on the customer
  • Contract negotiation experience
  • Leadership, mentoring & development of teams
  • Experience in building / construction industry and competitive landscape preferred
