POSITION DETAILS

We at Agnew IRM are seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Shift Engineer to work full-time for an established and well known boutique Five-Star Hotel in the Sydney CBD owned and operated by our client.

We are seeking a candidate who is a team player with a strong work ethic; who is able to carry out duties without supervision; and is available for morning and evening shifts on a 7 day rotating roster.

POSITION DUTIES

We are seeking a candidate who possesses the skills to perform the following duties:

- Responsible for heating, cooling, refrigeration and ventilation system operation, maintenance and repairs throughout the 415 room hotel, including Food & Beverage Outlets, Kitchens, Meeting Facilities, Pool, Spa, Gymnasium, and 7-story car-parking station.

- Monitor, maintains, troubleshoot & repair HVAC systems throughout the Hotel, including AHU, AC units, Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Exhaust Fans, Filtration and Pumps systems.

- Ensure HVAC systems meet and comply with WHS regulations and certifications.

- Provide HVAC and Refrigeration engineering support to all members of the maintenance team.

- Maintain tools and equipment in a safe working condition; as well as making sure that the workshop and plant rooms are safe environments at all times.

- Adhere to Technical procedures and Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP).

- Adhere to the Hotel Hygiene Code of Practice.

- Adhere to Hotel WH&S policies and procedures.

- Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, be responsible for day-to-day shift maintenance services and show initiative in solving primarily HVAC and Refrigeration maintenance issues.

- Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, be responsible for supervising the work of all members of the maintenance team.

- Perform various duties as detailed on the established hotel maintenance checklist.

- Undertake tasks in accordance with the work request system, preventative maintenance program, and any other task as designated by the Maintenance Manager.

- Log all defects and work or repairs carried out

- Communicate with the Maintenance Manager with regard to all urgent and/or dangerous facility matters.

- Maintain a clean and safe working environment and ensure the protection of all operating equipment.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

We are seeking a candidate who possesses the following qualifications; experience; and abilities:

- Minimum relevant AQF Bachelor Degree or the overseas equivalent thereof essential.

- Minimum 4 years of relevant employment experience essential.

- Strong HVAC mechanical installation, maintenance and operation understanding essential.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Ability to supervise effectively members of the maintenance team.

POSITION SALARY

$98 550.00 per annum + super
