HR & Recruitment

Aptus Personnel is a boutique recruitment company with over 10 years of industry experience specialising in the built environment. Over the last decade, Aptus has been matching talent with successful employers across Australia and more recently, New Zealand. We work alongside some of the biggest, most high-profile corporate and boutique organisations.

We are looking for hardworking go-getters who have a reliable, personable, and positive attitude to engage with high profile clients and candidates. As a Recruitment Consultant at Aptus, you are the face of our brand.

Recruiting in the built environment space can be frantic, and you may find yourself trading off various responsibilities. You’ll need to be accurate while being able to plan, organise, prioritise, and be a straight-talker. To top that off, you must still uphold the people skills required to manage your personal relationships.

You’ll need to be passionate about our clients’ success as if they were your own, and work in a continuous feedback loop with your Manager and other stakeholders. In this role, you’ll see that recruitment at Aptus is a journey, not a one-off opportunity. There’s no room for people who want quick and easy wins. Being adaptable to feedback received and constantly adopting best practices in all facets of your work will guarantee your success in this role/will see you do well in this role.

To be successful in this role as a technical specialist, you will need to recruit the best talent rather than everyday candidates. This means that you will also be able to spot talent that is able to do great work like you do, for your clients. You’ll be nurturing incoming talent from a technical perspective, managing candidates and clients, and driving down the cost of marketing for clients - leading them to value their relationship with Aptus. Your role is likely to be a significant touchpoint for the business, and you will own most aspects of the relationship.

In return, you will enjoy:

  • Established desk with clients
  • Working alongside a supportive, vibrant team
  • A significant database of talent
  • Jobs to work on day one
  • Generous pay structures, among the highest commissions in the industry - our consultants earn up to 50% of their personal generated revenue and have uncapped commissions with various additional bonuses.
  • Comfortable working environment
  • Office conveniently located at Melbourne Central easily accessible via public transport
  • Flexible working hours/conditions

These positions will suit industry experienced professionals who are ready to work with a reputable business within a collaborative team environment. The majority of your time will be spent liaising with clients for sourced new business opportunities, without restrictions to company or industry sector or region.

Additionally, you will be expected to deliver on client requests, maintain existing clients and consequently grow & source new business opportunities.

The key reason for the success of this role will be your ability to meet or exceed the sales target and pipeline we are looking for.

Do you have what it takes?
