makimaki Furniture seeking Cabinet Maker

makimaki Australia pty ltd requires a Cabinet Maker in our Salisbury based workshop. The successful candidate must have a strong, working knowledge of timber and experience using workshop machinery. They must also have autonomy and a positive outlook.

We are an expanding solid timber furniture & joinery company with a growing & energetic team. We fabricate residential furniture, benchtops & commercial timber joinery.

Duties

• Fabricating benchtops, furniture & commercial joinery.
• Site measuring & templating
• Scheduling, drafting & CNC operation
• Ensure all work meets our quality standards
• Maintain machines and a safe work environment
• Provide technical and job costing assistance to our sales team
• Liaise with clients as required for troubleshooting purposes
• Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly

• Minimum 2 years experience with scheduling, drafting & CNC cam software
• Minimum 2 years of trade background in solid timber work. Preferable furniture making, timber benchtops, joinery or similar
• Capable of working autonomously and an eagerness to learn and succeed
• Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal
