Work as part of the Plaster Technician team within Redcliffe Hospital delivering an effective and efficient and high quality service for our clients.

About The Role

  • Provide specialised clinical assessment and appropriate decision making in the management of orthopaedic patients including application, removal and review of plaster and synthetic casts, splints and orthopaedic appliances under the direction of the Orthopaedic Medical Officer
  • Comply with and utilise procedures, policies, regulations and standards which impact upon the position, including contemporary human resource management requirements and practices, such as workplace health and safety, Code of Conduct, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination policies.
  • Participation in in-service training as required ensuring compliance with all mandatory training requirements, and to comply with all directions that are commensurate with your OO3 level as outlined in the Operational Services Manual.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Undertake high level specialised plaster duties with clinical competence while working within the Certificate IV in Cast Technologies guidelines.
