Civil Construction & Maintenance Workers

Purpose of the role
The City Presentation directorate ensures that our area is presented in an aesthetically pleasing manner, that is clean, enjoyable to live in and instils pride in our community.
The successful candidates will act as the face of Council to the general public stepping into hands-on positions working with a crew in the delivery of frontline, concreting services. Work with a small crew keeping Bayside Council civil infrastructure well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities
These roles are responsible for the day to day leading of a small crew to conduct a wide range of activities and to ensure that all allocated work and/or programs are met. Duties and projects will involve:
- Performing construction, maintenance and/or restorations works with concrete, paving and asphalt
- Constructing traffic facilities
- Undertaking new construction and capital projects
- Additional maintenance and/or construction works as required.
Essential Requirements
- Current C class licence
- Trade certificate, equivalent qualification and/or relevant experience.
- A SafeWork NSW White Card (General Construction Induction Card)
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working with, and leading a small team would be well-regarded for this position.
- Knowledge and demonstrated ability to form, pour and finish concrete.
- Current Medium-Rigid (MR) Licence
- Traffic control ticket/s

Salary Range: $60,012 to $67,213 per annum plus 9.5% superannuation
