We currently have a new opportunity for a Project Coordinator (Construction) to work in our highly successful Construction & Development division on a 12- month fixed term contract. The Mirvac development portfolio is diversified across landmark commercial CBD properties, community retail centres and residential developments across Australia.

Reporting directly to the Landscape Manager, you will provide coordination support to the Landscape Manager and wider development team by assisting the efficient delivery and co-ordination of landscape and built infrastructure projects across Master Planned Community developments.

Your duties will include, but not limited to:

§ Assist the Landscape Manager / superintendent during construction and contract administration role, duties include:

o General project management of multiple projects

o Ensure projects are tracked and managed in accordance with quality, program and budget

o Review of construction drawings and technical specifications

o Document coordination and control of drawings and technical specifications, and ensuring that contractors and consultants are kept up to date with drawing and documentation issues

o Preparation of scope and technical documentation

o Assist in tender process including preparation of tender list, vetting and recommending tenders, assessment against budget

o Engage contractors including compiling contract documentation

o Manage variations and making recommendations to the Project Team

o Administration of contractor's progress claims, variation claims and extensions of time claims

§ Liaise with Development, Engineering, Construction, Design and external consultants through all phases of development

§ Assist the project teams to manage design and delivery

§ Assist in management of relationships and liaision with authorities to facilitate approvals, construction and handing over landscape elements of the project

§ Ensure all landscape and built form documentation is co-ordinated between external consultants, Mirvac design and council

§ Assist managing budgets, including

§ Independently undertake the project management of small scopes of works, generally in coordination with the Mirvac Landscape Design, Development and Civil Engineering

§ Develop an understanding of the company's systems and controls and implement in day to day operations

§ Identify detailed project risks and issues and raise them to appropriate levels;

§ Assist in the establishment of procurement and delivery strategy models

§ Implement and maintain production controls to ensure the project works comply with programme, HSE and quality requirements and constraints

§ Understand and assist in monitoring the project HSE plan, environmental management plan and traffic management plan

§ Attend site meetings and prepare minutes

§ Assist in the preparation of quality assurance procedures and assume responsibility for monitoring and collation of same

The person:

§ Bachelors Degree in either Consturction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Architecture or Landscape Architecture

§ Ability to read and understand the project documentation including plans & specifications

§ Understanding and/or previous experience in a Contract Administration role

§ Understanding of landscape design and civil engineering delivery fundamentals

§ High attention to detail

§ Ability to think about the project 'big picture' in decision making
