Senior Customer Success Consultant (Big Data, Client Relationship Management, Customer Facing, Cloud, SaaS, Start-up, Pre and Post sales, Professional Services) from our Sydney or Melbourne offices in Australia.
Mission
We are seeking a Senior Customer Success Engineer to be based from our Sydney or Melbourne offices. To Build and scale a team of Customer Success Engineers with post sales ownership of overall success of customers. Ensure customers derive maximum value and utilization from our technology and services such that they renew, expand and become Databricks champions. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the most innovative companies that are using Data and AI to transform the world.
This is a unique opportunity within Databricks working with the APJ team engaging with our customers in activities such onboarding them onto the Databricks platform, delivering enablement sessions, workshops and content aligned to business priorities. Building that all important Trusted Advisor relationship by providing thought-leadership and best practice.
Outcomes
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of technical Customer Success Engineers to achieve customer, company, and team goals
- Assign accounts and distribute work across individuals for optimal customer coverage and team balance
- Inspire the team to be customer obsessed by understanding customer objectives, their use cases, and Databricks technology
- Partner with Sales teams to drive growth and successful renewal of accounts.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to mitigate customer risk and help your team with escalations as needed.
- Lead team activities to monitor customer progress, forecast growth and achieve growth (GRR) and net retention (NRR) targets.
- Continuously provide input to scale and drive internal processes as well as customer success service offerings
- Ability to drive cross functional programs, plans, documentation
- You will have extensive experience in a customer facing role leading a technical team of consultants/solution architects or technical account managers.
- Has experience of Team leadership / management
- Experience of delivering workshops, customer engagement programs and working with customer key stakeholders of the business (both technical and non-technical)
- Fluent in commercial conversation with sales teams and able to provide necessary guidance for business outcomes.
- Good understanding of enterprise IT and big data technologies including Spark, AI, data science, data engineering, Hadoop, Cassandra etc
- Coding experience in one or more of the following: Scala, Python, SQL, R, Java
- Experience of cloud platforms AWS or Azure,, operations and SaaS
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and customer relationship skills
- Resourceful, self-motivated and able to be successful in a fast-paced environment.
- Conversant with business issues our customers face today and likely big data use cases in different industries
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience and knowledge through work experience
- Startup / scale-up experience at a similar ‘stage’ organisation
