The opportunity Right now, we have an opportunity for a Project Engineer to join the Bridge Maintenance team located at Wagga Wagga. This presents an exciting opportunity to be part of Bridge Maintenance projects improving outcomes for customers in regional NSW such as; , Mulwala Bridge on the Murray River Maintenance Project and routine maintenance and projects such as barrier, joint and bearing replacements, other safety and freight improvements and urgent, unplanned emergency response throughout the region. Reporting to the Bridge Works Manager, your role will be to develop and deliver road maintenance and construction projects in order to achieve bridge safety and network efficiency objectives. You will be entrusted with managing project and delivery processes including the delivery of direct labour crews to ensure bridge maintenance and construction projects are developed and delivered to agreed time, cost, quality and scope requirements. About you You have a four year Civil (or related) Engineering Degree and knowledge of the technical aspects of materials, equipment and techniques used in bridge/road or traffic infrastructure. You have a strong grasp and on how to develop and deliver bridge or road maintenance projects and knowledge or experience in successfully managing a direct control workforce to undertake projects. In addition, you are committed to delivering high-quality customer-focused services, demonstrating responsiveness to customers whilst remaining calm in highly pressurised and unpredictable environments. Travel will be required across South West NSW at times, it is essential that you hold a current and valid Australian motor vehicle driver’s license and are willing to work outside normal working hours on occasion. Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this position is RMS Engineer Level 1–2 ($94,184 - $124,862) 9 per annum plus superannuation.
