JOB DESCRIPTION

STRUCTURAL / CIVIL ENGINEER

  • Annual Salary Range: $70,791 - $85,956+ Super
  • Tenure: Ongoing
  • Employment Type: Full Time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual Work Location: Sunshine (flexibility may be available)

About the Team

The team manages and maintains all structural assets in Metropolitan Melbourne including strengthening and widening of bridges working closely with all modes of transport. (Roads, Trams and Trains)

About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity to work with an experienced team of engineers, where you will have responsibility for the delivery of outstanding solutions within the Department of Transport

This role will perform a variety of tasks to assist with project co-ordination, planning, work scheduling and resource management related to development and delivery of projects related to the construction and management of Structures in Metropolitan Melbourne.

The ideal candidate will be a degree qualified Civil / Structural Engineer, with the following experience and knowledge:

  • 1 to 3 years' experience of hands on engineering design and analysis
  • Demonstrated understanding of pre-construction, construction and contract administration of structures related to maintenance and construction projects, including an understanding of quality management principles.
  • Experience in assisting with project co-ordination, planning, work scheduling and resource management related to development and delivery of projects related to the construction/ management of Structures
  • Understanding of project management including planning, scheduling, co-ordination of resources and reporting.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, conflict resolution and negotiation skills to work with external contractors
