A Day In The Life

As our new WHS Advisor within the People and Culture team you will work to rollout the recommendations from a recent WHS audit and embed a culture of safety within the business. You will partner with operational staff and business leaders to create a WHS and Injury Management framework with practical tools to implement this across all business units. Based between our purpose-built Distribution Centre at Murarrie and the CBD Head Office you will enjoy working with a fun and supportive team that is passionate about driving positive change across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

Create a WHS framework including templates, artefacts, and other resources for the business to effectively manage WHS moving forward Partner with operational staff to build a contractor management program ensuring City Beach’s ongoing compliance Assess the capability of management and operational staff in high risk areas of the business to create competency maps and identify areas for upskilling and training Work to create a streamlined injury management framework that enables managers to effectively manage their process when injuries occur Identify other opportunities from a recent audit for improvements to our WHS systems and processes here at City Beach

What We're Looking For

Recognised qualification in WHS or extensive experience working in a WHS focused role Strong understanding of relevant safety legislation including Chain of Responsibility Experience implementing WHS systems and processes across varying industries Ability to create and implement practical tools for injury management and WHS management Demonstrated stakeholder management capabilities and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation Current Australian Driver’s License
