Our client isan established ASX listedAustralianiron ore producer with several existing operating mines in Western Australia. They are nowestablishing a new operation and buildingtheir Technical Project Development Team.

The position
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the Mine Planning Engineer will be responsible for short to long term planning, designing, scheduling and modelling for optimum life of asset development as well as ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities also include:

  • New mine development sequencing, planning and scheduling (MineSched)
  • Budgeting, analysis, reporting and recommendations
  • Contributing to the mine environmental impact plan to sustain life of mine.

About you:

  • Degree in Mining Engineering
  • Solid experience in mine designing, planning and scheduling (Minesched preferred but not essential)
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel
  • Sound knowledge of mining, safety and environmental legislation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Current WA C class driver's licence.
