This opportunity will see you join UGL, where as a key member of an highly experienced team you will work on projects within the electricity transmission infrastructure sector.

About the role

  • As a key member of the team your superior Project Controls, Planning and Scheduling skills will ensure that all work meets the standards in relation to safety, quality, time-frames and cost. You will:
  • Responsible for Planning, Scheduling, Earn Value Analysis and Reporting for all assigned projects or other designated areas of responsibility within the business;
  • Develop resource loaded baseline schedules for assigned projects in primavera P6 system;
  • Generate baseline progress profiles (S-Curves) using standard templates;
  • Perform weekly updates of project schedule, communicate changes in critical path, milestone dates and highlight delays and potential schedule slippages to the project manager;
  • Update and analyse Earn Value Reports and highlight any productivity issues to the project manager;
  • Produce Extension of Time (EoT) schedules to support delay and disruption claims if required; and
  • Foster a culture of inclusion, responsiveness, honesty and accountability.


About You

You will inspire your team, draw on their diverse skills and create environments where great ideas are heard and everyone looks out for one another. Ideally you will have:

  • Degree qualification in Engineering or similar discipline;
  • 7 to 10-year project controls experience with at least a significant part of it gained on site construction related to planning, scheduling, progress measurement, earn value analyses and reporting;
  • Proficient in use of scheduling software systems particularly Primavera P6 and progress measurement databases;
  • Proven experience using earned value principles and understanding of commercial obligations; and
  • Ability to contribute to a high-performing team and handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
