Work, Health & Safety Business Partner

Flexible hours / days to suit.

25-36 hours a week.



My Client, a top FMCG Manufacturer are currently looking for a skilled and experienced WHS professional to join their team.



The role

As a skilled WHS officer, the role will have you undertake a variety of tasks ranging from compliance and delivery of WHS functions to coaching and leading risk management practises.



Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with all site functions to ensure compliance with WHS legislation and delivery of WHS strategy.
  • Providing coaching, support and leadership to drive improved risk management practises.
  • Proactive and efficient management of all Work and non-work related injuries/illnesses across the employee lifecycle, including collaboration with claims agents, brokers and treating professionals, whilst managing costs and programs.
  • Championing and driving the cultural changes required to implement a successful safety programme.
  • Conducting any required investigations and providing recommended solutions going forward.
  • Leading all required WHS reporting requirements.
  • Developing and implementing learning and training initiatives for the site.
  • Ensuring the site's operational compliance for WHS compliance.
  • Identifying, developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with the site's WHS strategy.



Experience:

  • Minimum 4+ years' experience in a similar role within manufacturing environment (FMCG essential).
  • Tertiary qualified, with an WHS or other relevant degree (ie: health, safety related).
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislations, acts and regulations.
  • Track record of successfully delivering fundamental shifts to safety strategy and culture.
  • Formal training in Incident Investigations.
  • Excellent communication, coaching and relationship building skills.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Great organisation.
