Job Description

We seek a person passionately committed to a sustainable energy future who will help deliver Fluence Energy Storage Projects in Asia Pacific.

The APAC Engineering Manager will build and led Fluence multi discipline solutions engineering teams across the APAC region and liaise and collaborate with the global engineering teams, have exceptional foresight, great communication skills, a working knowledge of different engineering disciplines and how they relate to one another, and an aptitude for managing risk within a multicultural environment. Candidates will have proof of their supervisory and technical skills, and an appreciation for the complex nature of the industry.


  • Build and manage the Fluence APAC multicultural engineering team over several locations
  • Determining the need for training and talent development.
  • Hiring contractors and building teams.
  • Supervising the work of multiple teams.
  • Ensure that Fluence processes are introduced and followed. Support a continuous process improvement
  • Proposing and managing budgets for projects.
  • Planning and executing strategies for completing projects on time.
  • Ensuring engineering solutions have support of upper management.
  • Providing clear and concise instructions to engineering teams.
  • Ensure that completed systems conform to all specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
  • Travel throughout the APAC region to customer projects and suppliers.
  • Be part of the Fluence APAC management team and be ready to take tasks beyond engineering


  • BS/BA minimum; Electrical Engineering preferred, but other fields will be considered.
  • Master’s degree in engineering management or business administration or relevant experience.
  • 15+ years of engineering experience, ideally in a management role.
  • Growth company experience
  • Experience in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) for High Voltage Systems, Wind, Solar, or Conventional Power Generation.
  • Experience within the Energy Storage business is beneficial
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience of Leadership skills to be able to develop and manage a team.
  • Organizational competencies and project management skills to keep projects, processes, and the entire engineering team on track.
  • Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment
  • Interpersonal communication skills with expertise in resolving disagreements and distilling complicated topics to a broader audience.
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
