About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with our multi-vendor solution to design, manage and roll-out products that deliver the company's vision and strategy.

You will be responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product life cycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, procurement, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer delight goals are met.

You will be accountable as the “mini-CEO” for the Hotel & Car platforms and related Travolutionary revenue management capabilities, with personal responsibility for continuous improvement of the area's KPIs and successful delivery of committed OKRs.

Significant counterparts include internal customers (divisions and brands using your products), external vendors for whom you will be the primary point of contact, and last but definitely not least users of your products.

What you will be responsible for:

Product Management

  • Ensure that your products contribute to the profitable growth of Flight Centre's divisions and brands
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
  • Become the leading advocate of Flight Centre's land & packaging vision and have the ability to translate it to different parts of the business that can relate and understand
  • Obsess the commercial viability of new product opportunities and enhancements to existing digital products from ideation through to benefits realisation
  • Intimate knowledge of our product, including its value proposition, key features, user journeys, business goals, and KPIs
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively guide the vendors and lead the stakeholders, create an inspiring vision, and reach sustainable agreements
  • Working closely with PM peers in Consultant Commerce, ECommerce and Land Supply to facilitate the ideation and concepting of new digital products and enhancement
Product Delivery
  • Create, prioritize and maintain the product backlog and defined release and sprint goals;
  • Be able to personally translate/unpack business requirements for features into epics and fully drafted user stories;
  • Manage delivery team from Discovery/Inception through to internal/customer release
  • Coordinate / collaborate release activities with delivery and operations teams
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Demonstrated experience of delivering fit-for-purposes business solutions to agreed time, quality and functionality requirements
  • Demonstrated success using analytics and research to inform a critical approach to product decision making
  • Strong user experience and technical sensibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize among competing opportunities and articulate the rationale behind your decisions
  • Ability to work effectively with business, leading requests from inception to delivery
  • A highly organised nature with high attention to detail
  • Ability to successfully deliver solutions to agreed quality, time, specification and budget targets
  • Strong proactive communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively are critical
  • Ability to negotiate without being adversarial
  • Empathy for the customer experience, as well as data analysis, should inform all decision making
  • Strong acumen to think critically and converse with technical architects and developers
  • Perform duties independently under general, minimal supervision within specific assignments
  • Demonstrated experience in the ability to analyse, evaluate and integrate business processes and procedures
  • Write logical, comprehensive, concise reports and correspondence
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing using language understandable to management and employees
  • Acquire subject matter expertise in the functions and activities
  • Utilise time management skills and multitasking capabilities
  • Develop and document business and processes, functions and procedures
