JOB DESCRIPTION

Top Knot are looking for a Carpentry Site Manager to join our team based in Melbourne. Our company continues to grow from strength to strength, securing contracts with industry leaders such as Hutchinson, Icon, Hacer, LU Simon’s and Multiplex.

With the opportunity to be part of a growing company, the ideal person has specialised in high end commercial and residential carpentry projects and have 3+ years’ site management experience. This is an excellent time to join our team and we have several openings available for this role due to company growth and upcoming projects secured.

Responsibilities:

· Overseeing site set up and shut down

· Inspection and monitoring of daily site activities

· Maintain a high site performance, managing the team working on your site

· Monitoring that your team are arriving on time, taking the correct breaks, leaving at the right time, and putting in sufficient effort to surpass their targets.

· Holding weekly Toolbox meetings

· Logging and reporting any site incidents (e.g. WHS, performance, disciplinary)

· Enforcing WHS and safety standards on site

· Monitoring project quality and performance standards

· Overseeing ordering and delivery schedules

Requirements:

· Previous Carpentry Site Management experience (3+ years)

· Strong eye for detail

· Problem solving abilities

· Excellent time management skills

· Commitment to delivering a quality finish

· Strong organisational and prioritising skills

· Ability to work well under pressure

· Focused on meeting deadlines

· Strong written & verbal communication

· Excellent commercial carpentry knowledge

· A proactive and hardworking attitude

· Leadership and mentoring abilities

· Ability to work with a team at all levels of an organisation

· Work overtime and Saturdays when required to assist project progress
