Our client is a well-established Building and Construction company specialising in Commercial and Residential Construction as well as Commercial Maintenance and Refurbishment servicing both the Illawarra and South Coast of NSW. They are seeking an experienced Estimator who will be based at their Wollongong office.

As the Estimator, you will:

• Send tender package to contractors and suppliers
• Complete bill of quantities
• Read and interpret drawing
• Prepare the construction program or schedule of work
• Generate cost breakups and comparison reports
• Prepare tender documentation, including methodology of works
• Prepare trade contracts
• Interpret and understand client tender documents
• Compile the most competitive tender package that is achievable and profitable for the business
• Possess willingness or capacity to attend tender meetings

To be considered for the position, you will have:

• Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Estimating) or similar Degree
• Previous relevant experience in the Building Industry (Commercial experience highly regarded)
• High attention to detail
• A methodical approach to prioritising and organising workload
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
• Strong numeric skills with the ability to analyse data
• Experience with Microsoft Project
• Advanced in Microsoft Excel or experience with Estimating software
• Critical thinker with adept problem solving and sound judgment

Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a Police Clearance as part of the Recruitment Process.

Salary: Approximately 116k salary package including company vehicle
