Astern Group have available an opportunity for a Civil and Infrastructure Project Engineer with at least 3 yrs post-grad experience to join our team in delivering civil infrastructure projects within Victoria.

We have project's in and around Victoria, predominantely CBD and surrounding suburbs.

As the engineer on the project you will assist the Project and Site Manager with the following tasks, but not limited to: 

• Coordination of site logistics, procurement and delivery of materials
• Assist the Project Manager and Site Manager where required
• Be able to mentor and support junior team members.
• Identify issues and work on resolutions
• Compile weekly project programming and required data for reporting
• Ensure projects meet timescales, budgets and agreed specifications
• Maintain the HSEQ requirements on the project

Requirements:

• A civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification
• At least 4 years post-grad experience as a project engineer
• A good understanding and demonstrative experience of civil engineering work, including supervision of construction
• A practical-minded hands-on approach with excellent communication and people skills
• Commitment and understanding of H&S, Environmental and Quality requirements
• Highly motivated attitude to learn and grow within the industry
• Management skills for handling staff and sub-contractors
• Must have the right to live and work in Australia
