Our Construction Materials Testing business offers a full range of services to the civil construction, mining and oil and gas industries, including extensive materials testing and materials investigations, research and development. This opportunity will provide you with extensive experience in testing and analysis of construction material, as well as the opportunity to work on some of our Project Sites on a fly-in, fly out (FIFO) basis.

Job Description

Entry-level candidates are invited to apply. We offer on the job training and development and can assist you with a traineeship. This role will be based out of our Perth location, however we will require the successful candidate to complete regular FIFO assignments to remote client sites as required.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking a variety of manual tasks including preparing and testing soil & concrete samples in a laboratory environment
  • Ensuring testing is performed in accordance with industry standards
  • Undertaking basic quality assurance checks
  • Ensuring accuracy of test results and timely output of work
  • Adhering to NATA quality and onsite safety requirements

We are looking for candidates who come from a fast-paced background. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
  • Proven ability working unsupervised, while understanding and performing testing as per testing standards and client requests.
  • Physically fit and able to perform a manual labour-intensive role which includes heavy lifting.
  • High level of computer literacy skills with previous exposure with Microsoft Office software and laboratory operating systems (Quality)
  • High level of numerical skills required
  • WA C Class Drivers Licence
  • Nuclear Densometer Licence/WA Radiation Licence (desired)
  • Willingness and flexibility to undertake remote deployments for periods of time
