About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our Mine Maintenance team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager our mechanical Reliability Engineer is responsible for the safe execution and continuous improvement of asset strategies and reliability programs for Cooljarloo Mine so that strategic business objectives are met.

Previous experience in a similar role is highly desired, along with demonstrated behaviours that are strongly aligned with our Core Values, together with a willingness to continually lead, learn and develop. It is vital that you work well in a team environment and can establish strong and mutually beneficial working relationships at all levels of the organisation.

Our Cooljarloo Mine Site is located near Cataby, 190km north of Perth CBD. The mine offers the opportunity for the successful candidate to choose to reside in nearby local communities such as Lancelin or Jurien Bay, or in our camp accommodation whilst rostered on.

This role will be offered on a nine-day fortnight, on a drive in - drive out basis, where you are home every weekend.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Continuously optimise asset strategy and execute to deliver short to medium term performance expectations of the plant
  • Project manages the execution of simple/short term reliability improvement projects (i.e. primarily single engineering discipline) projects. Provide technical engineering support for daily equipment operational performance and maintenance
  • Assists in the development of criteria for evaluation of equipment and technical MRO suppliers and technical maintenance service providers
  • Stakeholder representing maintenance in the installation of new equipment
  • Supports design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans
  • Supports development of acceptance tests and inspection criteria.
  • Reviews improvements / modifications on equipment
  • Reviews proposed maintenance strategies
About You:
  • Mechanical Engineering degree qualifications (essential)
  • Experience on large electrical/mechanical dredge and/or hydraulic small dredge highly regarded
  • Experience in hydraulics highly regarded
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Report/submission writing
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Proficient at project management
  • Proactive approach towards building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Valid Driver's License Class 'C' or 'C-A'.
