JOB DESCRIPTION

Due to an internal movement an opportunity now exists for a Senior Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our Design and Build team on an initial 12-month Fixed Term contract.


About the role

The role of the Senior Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls (EI&C) Engineer is to provide electrical, instrumentation and controls and industrial automation (PLC/SCADA) design expertise, advice and technical inputs.

The position will lead the EI&C discipline in the feasibility studies, options reports, basic and detailed design projects, and provide site engineering support during construction, and commissioning assistance. Playing an integral role of SUEZ’s multi-disciplinary Design & Build engineering team, the position will be responsible for co-ordinating with other engineering disciplines, managing engineers, design-drafters and external resources and sub consultants as required by project and/or organisational needs.


About you


With tertiary qualifications gained in Electrical Engineering, you have at least 10 + years design and drafting experience gained within a project delivery environment.

Your experience can demonstrate knowledge of Electrical equipment layouts and detail design, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Plant automation and SCADA, Preparation of process control functional descriptions, and HAZOP/CHAZOP processes for control systems.

Some commissioning or pre commissioning of EI&C systems in the water industry is preferred and ideally you are familiar with the with the design and/or operation of water and wastewater treatment plants and electrical equipment and standards commonly used in these installations. You have developed detailed designs and documents for construction across multi-disciplinary teams and design and build experience would be advantageous.

You have an excellent grasp of engineering and design principles and are able to effectively prioritise and execute tasks with advanced problem solving and analytical abilities. You work well in a team as well as independently and have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

The position will be based from our corporate headquarters in Rhodes and initially commence on a 12 month Fixed Term contract with view to extension.
