Working within a fast-growing start-up environment the Automation Anywhere pre-sales team are multi skilled solutions consultants who work together to prove the value of a digital workforce. We work within the wider sales team to ensure our vision is proven at clients. We take satisfaction from winning new clients but more importantly changing our client’s workforce for the better with successful projects and a stellar return on investment.
What You Need To Be Successful
- Storytelling. Engage with C-Level business and IT people through to business operations, business improvement people, architects and developers. We do this by developing a deep understanding of our customers business issues and IT environment. We then use storytelling to paint the vision and confidence to become a trusted advisor and help move the sales to closing stages.
- Fast paced/hard working/agile minded. Everything that can be automated should – that means there is a large demand. There is a great variety of customers from large banks and government departments to midmarket clients across finance, marketing, customer services departments and more. To be successful you need to be agile and fast paced using our pre-sales processes to move at the pace of a start-up. You need to listen, understand, relate and deliver to this vast array of stakeholders.

- Technical acumen. If you go and play with our community edition you will find that it is not hard to build an Automation – it’s been designed that way so everyone can automate. However, our client’s environments are complex, multiple legacy applications, web applications, green screens, Citrix, CRM systems, ERP systems, Security environments and more. Being familiar with modern Cloud environments is important. Having worked across complex environments will help arm you with the right understanding to be empathetic to our customers challenges and allow you to be creative with our solutions. From time to time basic coding skills are needed (Python preferred) but not mandatory.
- Led multiple successful pre-sales engagement for a software vendor or consulting company
- Experienced complex IT environments and multiple department or entity clients
- Conducted discovery workshops and build business cases with a customer
- Introduced new creative ways of doing things into a company you have worked for
- Run process discovery workshops and consult with the customer, wider sales and deliver teams to create a return on investment and roadmap to success
- Define and deliver proof of value or proof of concepts
- Deliver customized story-based demonstrations
- Mentor partners new to Automation Anywhere on specific opportunities
- Promote Automation Anywhere through story telling and demonstrations at marketing events
- Lead other activities such as customer “botathons” and bot-building workshops
- Be agile to take on other activities to win customers and make them successful. Occasionally these will be outside of the pre-sales domain.
