About the role

We are looking for a dual trade Electrician & Refrigeration Technician to maintain site wide air-conditioning and electrical plant and equipment. This role is a permanent role, and the successful applicant will be required to relocate to Weipa on a full-time basis and be based at Amrun during shift.

Reporting to the Supervisor and Working a 4/5/5 dayshift lifestyle roster and you will be:

  • Carrying out preventative maintenance on our air-conditioning and electrical plant and equipment;
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and zero harm. Demonstrating a commitment to high standards of safety;
  • Mentoring apprentices with both work experience and safety;
  • Fault finding and maintaining air-conditioning and electrical plant and equipment;
  • Working after hours callouts as per callout roster

What you’ll bring

  • An Australian Refrigeration Mechanic qualification
  • An Australian Electrical Fitter or Mechanic qualification
  • Cert III Electro technology – Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning with an unrestricted ARCTIC licence
  • A strong understanding of various refrigeration and electrical principles and fault-finding techniques
  • Previous experience in similar fields including mining, industrial and commercial industry
  • A current manual ‘C’ class driver’s licence
  • A commitment of the safety of yourself and your team

Amrun is located 40km south of the Embley River, between Weipa and Aurukun. At Amrun, you can experience a hybrid lifestyle enjoying the new camp and facilities during shift and relaxing with friends and family in Weipa on your days off. Relocation and a generous accommodation allowance is provided for this role
