The role with us
This role will support Telstra’s strategic digitisation and orchestration ambitions through design, software development and DevOp platforms that provide activation and assurance to for Telstra’s mobility and calling product suite.

The Network Software team develops software that exposes Telstra’s various network domains to northbound IT systems, Customer interfacing portals and Automation tools. The goal is to make way to automate network exposure, leading to an end-to-end automated ecosystem; making it easier, faster and more secure for partners/customers to connect and leverage our network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, install, integrate and maintain complex network technologies and platforms with Telstra processes and systems
  • Translate customer (internal, external or regulatory) needs and requirements, using technical principles into reusable API based micro-services
  • Partake in development work based in NodeJS producing micro-services and subsequent deployment.
  • Set up and maintain CICD pipelines, into production
  • Contribute to planning and design sessions, utilising agile ceremonies and techniques
  • Integrate solutions by executing on security and operational requirements
  • Assess capability of internal systems and vendor solutions and offerings
  • Develop platform specific technology functionality that leverage opportunities from evolving and future technologies.
  • Provide level 4 support to DevOps staff

About You

To be successful in the role, you'll bring skills and experience in:-
  • 5+ years’ experience in telecommunications or related software based roles
  • Hands on experience with Agile Tools (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo)
  • Hands on experience with front end development: JavaScript, React.js/Redux (understanding of hooks), Webpack
  • Hands on experience with back end development: Node.js/Express, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle DB, SQL
  • Hands on experience with containers & Orchestration: Docker, Docker compose, AWS services
  • Knowledge on Security ie. SAML, SSO etc

Fixed Remuneration: $90,000 - $103,000
