The opportunity
We are seeking a talented Principal Systems Engineer with strong digital systems, engineering lifecycle, and stakeholder engagement experience to drive the definition, realisation and evolution of our digital engineering architecture in collaboration with Boeing engineering and IT divisions domestically and abroad.
The Digital Engineering Architect reports to the BDA Digital Engineering Manager and can be based in Brisbane, Adelaide or Newcastle.
Responsibilities
Act as custodian of the BDA digital engineering architecture and roadmap in alignment with Boeing enterprise strategy
Work collaboratively with engineering teams and IT to integrate their domain expertise, use cases and roadmaps into a holistic organisational view
Engage with engineering programs to define digital engineering realisations consistent with the enterprise approach that meet business needs
Support governance and compliance activities related to engineering tools
Contribute to organisational training and communications in digital engineering
Experience/Qualifications
Tertiary degree qualifications with a minimum of 10 years' experience in an engineering or related technical discipline
Advanced knowledge in systems engineering methodologies and digital systems, preferably from defence, aerospace or a similarly regulated industry
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A continuous improvement mindset and an interest in supporting others to achieve business outcomes
