International organisation seeking Field Sales Engineer to join their growing team!

Over 20 years as a market leader, be a part of a family run German company that is represented in more than 45 countries worldwide that offers an international work environment and room for own development - this Melbourne sales role offers the chance to develop mid-term into a Country Manager role including developing and supervising a local Sales team in Melbourne.

Your new role
Your role will be to develop and grow both, existing and new business within the target market sectors, via any channel, of the organisations products. Target Markets include: Transportation, Machinery & Robotics, PGTD Energy, Automation and Electronic Manufacturing whilst contributing to the s long-term growth expectations with strong profitable sales growth within Melbourne.

  • Selling and technical consultancy of products and solutions.
  • Managing and sustaining the sales funnel according to the Ideal Sales Process.
  • Development of system solutions with the customers. Professional project management (internal and external) and coordination of key customer projects on a local and international level.
  • Monitor, communicate and regularly report on competitor activity within markets and customers.
  • In conjunction with the Managing Director/Business Manager Australia establish and assisting in developing a long term strategy and vision for the Melbourne market.



What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Communications Technology or Mechatronics.
  • Ideally, 5 years' work experience in Solution Selling, Complex Sales,
  • Applications in similar Industry; preferred in markets like Machinery, Robotics, Material Handling, Rail, Energy, Automation etc.
  • Excellent communication and social skills; develop a strong internal rapport with local teams and global organization as well as close relationships to customer buying center contacts.
  • Motivated and eager to actively drive sales and develop businesses.
  • Identification with the brand and its strong reputation in the electrical and global automation markets.
  • Being business and strategy savvy and understand how to systematical develop the business in Melbourne with a long term vision in mind.
