Our Mineral Processing team is looking for an experienced Development Engineer to ensure the product specifications are maintained to meet changing customer requirements for the Mineral Processing business. With your Materials Engineering or Metallurgy background, you will coordinate the material related projects (R&D, alloy development, composites and new products) that will keep Bradken Mineral Processing at the forefront of our market. With your excellent attention to detail, you will manage the concession request system to ensure high-quality product delivery. Bringing your demonstrated experience within a foundry, you will be responsible for any technical responses to customer issues or enquiries. With a customer-centric approach, you will assess and provide feedback on customer’s equipment/ processes and the application of our products to their equipment. As a technical expert in materials, you will provide product-specific advice to sales and Product Development teams for customer applications and provide training and training models for the business in metallurgy and composite materials. There will be a heavy focus on quality and ensuring the Product Development team comply with the Bradken Quality Management system. You are a solutions provider and will coordinate R&D projects on existing alloys to optimise service life and reduce manufacturing risks and also develop new materials and alloys with a strategic focus on wear and service life. Key Criteria: Experience working within a foundry environment Experience in Quality Control and/ or NDT Inspection Experience in document control and database management A clear understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems Tertiary qualifications in Materials Engineering or Metallurgy, Foundry industrial technology or a combination of relevant industry experience This role can be based in Perth or Newcastle.
