Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Process Engineer to join our steel pipe and tube manufacturing plant at Salisbury and continue the success. You will be degree qualified in either Mechanical/Chemical or Electrical Engineering. Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for driving efficiency and process performance improvements to support the site operations plan.

We are seeking a motivated and results driven individual to fit within our team culture. In this challenging and satisfying role the successful applicant will be able to ensure all manufacturing assets and systems are optimized to achieve best cost manufacture, through smart utilisation of existing assets and the application of modern manufacturing principals and available technology.


  • To identify, justify and progress process improvement projects and activities to cost and schedule;
  • Maintain and optimise process control of electro-galvanising plant, tube rolling mills and associated equipment;
  • Support the waste water treatment function;
  • Mentor & develop cross functional manufacturing teams;
  • Drive efficiency improvements through all process and manufacturing systems;
  • Data driven and documented process improvement approach; and
  • Develop operational capacity in process / continuous improvement.

  • Tertiary qualifications in either Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
  • Minimum 3 years heavy industry experience or similar;
  • High developed statistical analysis, SPC, process capability skills
  • Excellent fault finding/trouble shooting/problem solving skills;
  • Knowledge of Industry standard SCADA systems;
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, TPS knowledge essential;
  • Competence in AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault DMS or similar; and
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
