Due to growth within the company, there is an excellent opportunity for you to join the planning team. Reporting to the Planning Manager and working within a busy workshop you will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects and tasks and be responsible for the day to day planning of various engineering projects ensuring that jobs are manufactured in a timely and cost effective manner whilst continuing to meet the specifications and expectations of there clients. Job tasks and responsibilitiesYour key responsibilities will be to :Create work orders from MRP systemCreate BOM'sPlace orders for materials and subcontract items and chase delivery datesApply your trade knowledge to all situations involved with the Project(s) manufacture.Coordinate the planning of the projects to meet delivery time frames.Liaise with Department managers.Skills and experienceIdeally, you will be able to demonstrate some or all of the following key attributes:Have an Engineering Trade Background with a particular biased in all forms of Machining and fitting (Highly Regarded)Extensive Planning experience within an engineering jobbing shop environment (Highly Regarded) Experience in using MRP systems to develop the plan for the various workshop sectionsHave an excellent understanding of complex Engineering DrawingsExperience with complex machining and fine tolerances using CNC and manual machining processesOutstanding communication skillsAble to work on multiple Projects/Sales Orders at the same timeAbility to articulate requirements of other relevant departments and control Subcontracted itemsAble to problem-solve effectivelyHigh attention to detailExtremely organisedStrong MS Office SkillsIn return you will be rewarded with a supportive and friendly team environment, excellent salary package that will be negotiated based on your previous experience and working in a role which will be both challenging and rewarding.
