JOB DESCRIPTION
Red Rock Engineering are a local Karratha based company, working on sites for Rio Tinto, FMG, BHP, JHG and also fabricating goods for smaller, locally owned companies.
We are undergoing a strong growth period and are looking for a Project / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who is local to Karratha and available to start immediately.
To be considered for this position, you will need to be a Trade Qualified Metal Fabricator or hold a Bachelor Degree with 1+ years’ experience in an Engineering Fabrication Environment.
Other essential skills and attributes include:
- A background in estimating, planning and quality.
- Proficient in the use of normal sweep of software that is applicable to job requirements
- Exceptional personal time management skills, including the ability to identify, prioritise and focus on the most important task
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Clear attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- C Class Manual Driver’s License
- Advanced/Intuitive computer skills
- Development of Work package Scopes, budgets, plans and schedules
- Engaging and coordinating stakeholders during the execution of work including operations, maintenance, Project Supervisors, contractors and other functional groups
- Providing technical input to the design process including management, process, design, and procurement
- Scope, Analyse and Review Tender’s & RFQ’s; including Drawings, the Scope Documents, Contractual T’s & C’s and Client Specifications
- Engage with Clients & Suppliers in a professional and timely manner
- Work in conjunction with our Administrative Team to ensure all records and documentation and managed in line with our Tendering & Document Management Systems
- Providing technical input to the design of Engineering solutions
- Monitoring and regularly reporting on project progress, ensuring action is taken to address deviations from the project program
- Prepare budget schedules and plans for projects to ensure effective monitoring and progress reporting
- Monitoring Asset Management KPI's, identify gaps in performance and recommend actions to resolve
