Position Summary:

You are strong both technically and non-technically, have excellent judgement, and possess the ability to influence across the business without direct report line authority. You have broad knowledge across a range of architecture concerns with a specialisation in cloud architecture, particularly AWS (essential) and GCP (desirable). Some of the many cloud skills you possess include IAM, VPC, HA architecture, multiple compute and data store services, security, serverless and devops.

The purpose of the role is to build, as part of a team, a world leading architecture and strategy function, which defines game changing platforms across CoreLogic. This role is pivotal in how we use technology to deliver existing and new business models/outcomes, at scale, which in turn deliver world class customer experiences. Grounded in the present, with conviction to vision and target state architecture, while tracking emerging technologies and their application to business.

This role is critical to the success of our business and driving change across the CoreLogic business, to use cloud-based platforms, service architectures, agile methodologies and world-class cloud engineering to drive adoption, advocacy and increased customer interaction across all channels. Working with Data, Product and Technology leaders/teams. 

In-depth knowledge and experience across technology and delivery, combined with strategic thinking, planning and execution will drive global recognition of CoreLogic as a digital leader. As an expert in architecture and delivery the Cloud Architect will build respect with their peers and teams. This will be achieved through the delivery of world leading, customer centric experiences whilst driving simplicity, scalability & agility across CoreLogic’s technology landscape. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set the organisation’s cloud strategy & operating model and deploy across the business.
  • Contribute to the technology architecture across all products, technologies and services.
  • Ensure the end-to-end architecture and cloud offering of deployed solutions is robust, secure, scalable, and available.
  • Develop and implement re-usable cloud templates using DevSecOps practices (Infrastructure As Code, CI/CD, Agile Work Methods, Policy-as-code, secure by design).
  • Build reference architectures, guidelines, and principles and distil this knowledge into platform teams.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across all business areas, both up and down the chain.
  • Embed the platform model across the business and push for data-driven decision making.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience architecting cloud solutions on AWS and optionally GCP.
  • Recent hands-on experience with AWS landing zones, accounts, services, networks, security and kubernetes.
  • Demonstrable ability to reason about architectures from all angles and identity and make key trade-offs.
  • Experience migrating on premise to cloud and hands-on experience with approaches like rehost, replatform, and rearchitect.
  • Experience with cloud automation development tools such as gitlab, terraform, ansible, cloudformation, python/bash Scripting.
  • Previous Experience in one or more Infrastructure or Application Development domain such as: network engineering, IaaS engineering, devops, automation tools engineering will be advantageous
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong informal leadership & interpersonal skills, coaching skills, cross-group collaboration and proven ability to influence across organizational boundaries
  • Experience producing reference architectures, guidelines, and principles.
  • Ability to deal with complexity and many unknowns in a decision process
  • A demonstrated ability to build fast valuable relationships and sustainable advisory roles
  • Competence in public speaking and presenting complex company or product strategies

Experience and Education Required:

  • Solid understanding and experience with well architected principles and cloud technology
  • 10+ years technology experience, 3+ years of which is AWS cloud experience
  • Formal qualifications in Information Technology or a related discipline
  • AWS certified solutions architect certification, and ideally multiple cloud certifications
