JOB DESCRIPTION
Burnett Country Certifiers is the region's pre-eminent building certification practice. We issue building approvals and carry out inspections for all types, sizes, and locations of projects. We are seeking to employ another cadet building certifier to assist with the rapid growth of our business that has occurred over the last few years and is continuing in that direction. Age will not be a barrier to being appointed to this position but applicants must be willing to undertake a study to obtain an Advanced Diploma in Building Surveying from Tasmania TAFE by way of external study. It is envisaged that graduation from this course would take between 2 and 3 years. This position is permanent with excellent opportunities for advancement for a person willing to start from the ground up.
The successful applicant will require the following:
- Commitment to developing a successful long term career in building regulation.
- A competent level of computer skills with particular regard to Microsoft Office.
- A current unrestricted C Class license.
- Excellent interpersonal and communicating skills and an outgoing personality including a sense of humor.
- A fast learner that is driven, honest, reliable, trustworthy and has the desire to advance the business.
- Be in good health and have no limitations on being able to travel.
Experience within the building industry would be advantageous.
