JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all projects are carried out in accordance with Quality Systems
  • Ensure compliance with H&S Policies and Procedures at all times
  • Respond to IT helpdesk requests and provide timely resolutions to matters
  • Provide user support
  • Visit sites in NSW to troubleshoot IT issues
  • Install and configure new IT equipment
  • Repair and upgrade computer hardware and software
  • Deliver a professional and quality service
  • Communicate with all divisions in a professional and courteous manner
  • Carry out other duties that are within the limits of the employee's skill as required
  • Recommend preventative measures (such as re-training, change to procedures and process)
  • Maintain incident reporting system

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Experience in Windows XP/Vista/7/10, Windows server 2003/2008/2012/2016 remote desktop client services support and maintenance, network support/maintenance
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written including presentation skills
  • Logical approach to problem solving
  • Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development to ensure skills and knowledge to achieve desired objectives of the position
  • A valid driver's license

Desirable 

  • Experience in Apple products would be advantageous but not essential
  • At least with 1 – 2 years' experience in desktop support
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in the form of diploma or degree in computer science or an IT related field would be advantageous but not essential
