The Opportunity

The position of Postdoctoral Fellow will join a team working on the reduction in PV module operating temperatures through passive temperature reduction approaches; and the demonstration of practical, cost-effective approaches to modifying commercial module design to capture experimentally demonstrated gains.

The role of Postdoctoral Fellow reports to Dr Yajie (Jessica) Jiang and has no direct reports.

  • Level A Salary, $97,368 to $104,143 per annum + 17% superannuation

Selection Criteria
  • PhD (or soon to be awarded) in photovoltaics engineering or related area.
  • Experience in materials preparation for photovoltaics, ideally thin film deposition and/or thin film solar cells fabrication.
  • Experience in material characterisation techniques, ideally including SEM/TEM microscope.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrated track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with a diverse range of stakeholders and students.
  • Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
  • Experience in nano-material fabrication, and clean room working experience.
