Here at Mars Wrigley (MW), we are looking for an Industrial Engineer to join the MW Supply Engineering team based at our highly engaged Chocolate manufacturing site in beautiful Ballarat.
In this fantastic opportunity you will support the team and site in performance management and driving its continuous improvement agenda to improve its efficiency and cost structure, as well as managing local capital budgets and activities.
In this highly collaborative role, you will gain exposure to the wider business by connecting with multiple stakeholder’s cross-functionally including local and regional teams, so being able to partner a diverse group of stakeholders will be critical to your success.
What would be your key responsibilities?
- Oversee the overall site’s performance, and improvement programs; as well as report on the site’s short- and long-term capacities and performance locally and regionally
- Own the site’s labour standards, operating standards, master plan, and leading the development and alignment of the site’s investment plans and budget (including project write-ups and justifications)
- Analyse and assess the factory’s capacity and capability to ensure short- and long-term delivery to market demands
- Conduct supply assessments, and provide solutions and recommendations to the Activity team across a variety of factory activities from assessment to post-execution stages
- Performance & Capacity Management, leading improvement programs experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in capital investment planning and capital project writing with exposure to de-bottlenecking/capacity and time loss analysis preferred
- Excellent analytical and communication skills with an ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
