What will you be doing?

Due to recent project wins, we are looking to grow our team of skilled Design Managers within the Transport sector. This is an opportunity to lead the design of medium scale transport infrastructure projects that will see you-
  • Providing effective leadership, direction, technical advice and championing a quality culture;
  • Driving service delivery, technical outcomes and undertaking quality reviews to ensure client delivery is above expectation;
  • Taking responsibility for the design coordination and project reporting on multi-disciplinary projects to meet the program and quality requirements;
  • Engaging with contractors, government clients and project stakeholders to ensure their project objectives are met while achieving positive design outcomes;
  • Managing the acquisition, deployment and optimization of resources for the delivery of the project scope; and
  • Working with the project manager to ensure we manage and deliver on our scope requirements and achieve positive financial outcomes for the project.

Qualifications


Who are we looking for?

First and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life through your contribution to city shaping infrastructure projects. You are a degree qualified civil engineering professional with experience in design management.

You will come to us with-
  • A civil engineering degree with significant years of experience
  • A background in structural engineering and experience in the road and rail sector will be looked upon favourably
  • Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills
  • Team leadership skills to effectively manage internal resources, sub-consultants, clients and other stakeholders across multiple disciplines
  • Established stakeholder management skills with a focus on building credible, collaborative but influential relationships both internally and externally. Experience working with contractors will be looked upon favourably
  • Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary design teams for transportation projects within a design and engineering consultancy environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working on TfNSW projects, in the road and rail infrastructure sectors, with a particular desire for TAP project experience.
  • AEO accreditation will be highly regarded
