The opportunity
We are seeking engineering leaders to join our Mission Systems and Ground Segments (MS&GS) Capability. The capability provides people, expertise, process and tools to architect, design, integrate solutions for complex development programs and growth opportunities in the C4ISREW domain. With a focus on the future, the MS&GS capability develops and maintains technology, product and capability roadmaps to align with BDA's growth strategy to meet the evolving needs of our customers, both in Australia and internationally.
These first line leadership roles can be based in Brisbane, Adelaide or Newcastle.
Responsibilities
- Support capability growth through the active leadership of people, processes and tools;
- Tactical workforce planning to meet project execution needs;
- Provide input for technology and business growth strategy roadmaps across the capability portfolio;
- Establish an open, inclusive and innovative team culture;
- Lead, develop and engage our people within a matrix organisation;
- Support executing projects within BDA through provision of people, processes and tools to ensure we are successful in meeting our customer expectations.
Experience/Qualifications
The successful applicant will possess the following attributes:
- Demonstrated leadership experience at the management level in a technical environment;
- An excellent communicator who can engage and motivate diverse and geographically dispersed teams;
- Dynamic, innovative and likes to think outside the square;
- Tertiary qualifications and/or experience in a relevant engineering discipline including software, systems, electrical/electronic, communications, mechanical and/or product development;
- An advocate for diversity and inclusion and will be actively involved in leading change;
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
