A 12 month contract for a Government Department providing architectural advise on Heritage Listed assets
Your new company
Our client is a local Council tasked with managing a number of projects around inner Brisbane and surrounding suburbs. Due to a peak in workload, they are looking to engage an Architect to work as a Heritage Design Manager in their Projects team. The engagement will be a 12-month contract with the opportunity of a further extension.
Your new role
Working in the Architectural unit of the Projects Office team, you will be working on several complex Heritage listed projects. The broader team manages the heritage related architecture design project work, design management and other heritage-related asset issues. You will be responsible for providing a consulting and advisory service surrounding heritage assessments which includes heritage report writing, conservation plan writing, heritage exemption certificates, design management, quality assurance and effective coordination of documentation in relation to the heritage projects. You will also be expected to prepare and integrate high-quality CAD architectural documentation and provide architectural CAD conceptual drafting and documentation to a high quality.
What you'll need to succeed
This role would suit an experienced Architect / Design Manager with strong exposure to State Heritage listed building projects and the ongoing maintenance and conservation of said assets. Successful candidates will have proficiency across Revit, AutoCAD, InDesign, PhotoShop and SketchUp. In addition, you will be expected to have excellent written and verbal communication skills with sound experience in heritage projects, plans and certificates.
