JOB DESCRIPTION

  • *IMMEDIATE START*
  • 2 month initial contract
  • Salary dependent on experience

Responsibilities of the role

  • Coordinating face-to-face training in topics such as

- Incident investigation

- Injury management

- Fitness for work

  • Overseeing business-as-usual activities such as

- Providing advice in relation to work, health and safety matters

- Partnering with the business in investigations

- Manage workers compensation and return to work plans

- Producing a monthly work, health and safety report for Executive

  • Manage nominations, training and overall effectiveness of employee volunteer health and safety roles, including

- First aid officers

- Workstation assessors

- Health and safety reps

  • Partner with the Work, Health and Safety Committee Chair to facilitate effective and meaningful Committee meetings, and coordinate completion of actions resulting from the meetings.
  • Manage/implement the communication plan for work, health and safety across the organisation including:

- Intranet pages

- Newsletter articles

- Safety alerts

  • Ensure WHS compliance across all aspects of reporting and operating
