HV Electrical Project Manager / Project Engineers

This is an exciting opportunity to get in at the ground level of a rapidly expanding, dynamic, global green energy business. Fortescue Future Industries is currently undertaking a rapid expansion and are seeking applications from HV Electrical Project Engineering Managers and Project Engineers
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Prepare and present the project documentation for securing a project development budgets together with finalise detailed documentation to support investment approval
- Identify and undertake the front-end development, engineering and delivery management of transmission studies through to FID and deliver project through regulatory approvals pathways. Support power transmission system and infrastructure development activities through to FID and into construction. This includes the negotiation and finalisation of all:
(a) Environmental, heritage and development approvals
(b) Other stakeholder engagement and agreements,
(c) Consortium and shareholders’ agreements,
(d) EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) and
(e) Operation & Maintenance arrangements
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the power transmission sector, including competitors, potential partners and customers, key stakeholders, equipment manufacturers and costs
- Maintain and manage internal & external stakeholder relationships via stakeholder analysis and engagement plans leadership and supervision of a rapidly growing and developing HV Transmission studies team of specialist, consultants, partners and vendors’ ensuring contractual obligations, the respect of ethical, health and safety rules, and technical standards by all parties
- Report detailed progress on the implementation of the project against budget, timing, deliverable's and milestones through a steering committee.
In order to be successful in this role:
Candidates must be able to bring a flexible mindset, challenge traditional thinking, and be prepared to work outside of their comfort zone
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Specialist knowledge in HV Electrical Transmission and Infrastructure (220 -500kV+) is essential
- manage and maintain executive level, internal & external, stakeholder relationship building skills
- established international contractor and supplier networks
- proficient technical capabilities in power system design and modelling
