Electrical Site Project Engineer

Work Location: Iron Bridge

Roster: 14D/7R – FIFO ex Perth

As our Iron Bridge Projects team grows we now have an opportunity for a driven Electrical Engineer to join the team

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Under limited direction initiate and manage the development of deliverables as defined by the project
  • Working with other team members to assist in establishing agreed project scopes of work, schedules, checklists and reporting mechanisms to meet the project needs
  • Attendance and/or chair in meetings as required
  • Ensure Australian Standard installation compliance in all site works undertaken
  • Preparing field advice and decisions regarding site modifications, changes in design
  • Interpret and review of contractors and suppliers technical documentation
  • Liaising with engineering teams relating to design related issues
  • Responding to technical queries and RFI queries from construction contractors
  • Checking of “as-built” drawings competed by contractors
  • Providing assistance and guidance to the completions & commissioning teams
  • Commitment to zero harm by following HSSE procedures, protocols, and initiatives

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Tertiary engineering qualifications (Electrical)
  • Obtain or hold a current Construction Induction Training Card
  • Minimum 7 + years of site project engineering experience, preferably in a greenfield mineral processing environment
  • Demonstrated experience in construction engineering support and managing site engineering interfaces
  • Excellent communication skills to initiate and develop relationships with a broad range of people.
  • Knowledge of standards and regulations associated with electrical design, installation and testing
  • An ability to listen and identify key issues and to communicate complex information clearly
  • Experience with isolation processes at mines, inspecting and commissioning of new equipment circuits and plants
  • Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision to set up processes and monitor own work achievements against agreed objectives
  • Strong knowledge of E/I equipment such as Switchrooms, HV Switchgear, MCCs, VSDs, Instrumentation, Controls and associated cabling
  • Strong computer literacy
