We are looking for passionate Senior Product Engineers to join the Digital Credentials as a Service team. About Our Team:

We are creating a scalable, reliable and flexible model that will revolutionise the digital credential ecosystem for people who provide, hold and validate government credentials by accelerating the opportunities to deliver digital services

Digital Credentials as a Service provides an integrated digital credentials ecosystem benefiting from ongoing maintenance, updates, and upgrades as and when they become available.

We use XP practices (including TDD, pair programming and CI/CD) to design and build fast stable software, and get it into our customers’ hands quickly. We are committed to iterative delivery using the build, measure, learn paradigm, and pride ourselves on being responsive to customers’ needs, consistently delivering value to the people of NSW.

We work with React Native, Redux, AWS Cloud, Cloud Foundry and Apigee to deliver end-to-end cross-platform mobile apps. We collaborate closely with other teams to architect and implement the right solutions, applying lean problem-solving to deliver value within a complex ecosystem.

And we never skip retro!

What modern technologies?:

  • The answer to all of life's problems is more RAM. The Mac, PC, or Linux devices we use to write and run our code are pretty freakin' powerful.
  • We have commitment issues. The software and tools we use are the latest and greatest. We are always ready to adapt if something better comes along.
  • "It's not available in Australia" does not apply to us. We do stand ups, scrums, and meetings with a little extra flair by using tools like Miro to write, draw, swipe, and emoji our points across.
  • Our flexible working puts yoga instructors to shame. We can work, collaborate, email, share, hangout, or chat from wherever we are.

About You:

  • Strong experience in mobile app development. Maybe you’re a native iOS or Android specialist who wants to expand your cross-platform skillset, or maybe you’re already a React Native expert. Either way, you know what makes mobile apps special, and love building app-y apps. We’d love to see 3+ years in commercial apps development, and examples of your work in stores.
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages. TypeScript, JavaScript, Swift, Objective C, Java or Kotlin will give you a headstart, but your openness to upskilling and cross-skilling is what will get you across the line.
  • Outstanding communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills. You encourage diversity of thought, thrive in a team environment, and do your best work while pair programming. You have top notch facilitation skills that guide discussions into outcomes, and maybe you have some leadership or mentoring experience.
  • Customer-oriented and proud. You are motivated by, and take ownership of, delivering valuable outcomes to the people who use your software.
  • Continuous improvement forever! You are a lifelong learner, always driven to improve processes and outcomes. You value close feedback loops, and the concepts of iteration and incremental improvement.
  • Security-minded. You have a passion for security by design, and exposure to or interest in security engineering as concept.

Your Role:

  • Work in our Mobile Apps and Digital Licences teams to deliver new features following lean/agile methodologies and XP practices.
  • Design and implement elegant software solutions to deliver real customer solutions.
  • Help improve the software delivery system, including decreasing build times, increasing automated tests.
  • Help mentor other team members and share your knowledge
