A bit about the role

The Solution Architect role sits within an agile team that is responsible for defining the Architecture and Solution for business change from inception to delivery across the IT and Network software ecosystem in nbn. This is in the context of a matrix organisation where the agile teams are aligned to individual operational value streams for the purposes of change delivery (typically numbering 50-100 people in total) with HR reporting aligned to the System Architecture & Foresight (SAF) team for the purposes of practise optimisation and improvement. This role reports into the Lead Solution Architect.

This role involves the technical solutioning of portfolio epics (work items typically of $1M - $3M) taking into account available development and operational budget and enterprise architecture standards and desired future state. This role works closely with business stakeholders, senior BAs and engineers to ensure that the solution meets business requirements and expectations and is understood and followed during the delivery lifecycle. Inherent in this role is a high level of nbn enterprise architecture knowledge and also system architecture knowledge relevant to the value stream.

In the context of these responsibilities the solution architect is a technical leader and a key contributor to the creation of a high performing culture where we do great work - a fearless and energetic team member that takes risks and delivers what’s promised and possesses the curiosity and drive to develop additional skills to ensure team success.

A bit about you
